SENIOR CITIZENS

J.O.Y. Group

J.O.Y. stands for Just Older Youth. This lively group meets the first and third Thursday of every month in Fellowship Hall for a pot luck meal at 2 p.m. After the meal, everyone joins in for a rousing game of dominoes! They are always looking for new members to join in the fun! If you’re in the “Older Youth” crowd and would like to participate, contact the church office for more information.

WOMEN

Creativity In Action Team

The CIA is a group of women who think outside of the box to minister to those who are hurting, healing or who just need some tender loving care. Meetings are called once or twice a month on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. All it takes to be a part of this ministry is a willing heart and the gift of sharing the Love of Jesus! If you are interested in joining the CIA, please contact Tonya Kriebel through the church office: 620-251-6770.

Graceful Giving Ministry

The newest ministry at WCC is the GGM. After a trip to Haiti, Pastor Mike brought a sample kit for that contains items necessary for the monthly cycle of women. In many cases, women in third-world countries do not have or cannot afford the sanitary products we have in the states. The ladies of GGM assemble these kits from reusable materials. If you have the gift of sewing or you would like to help in other ways to assemble the kits, please contact Cherie Thomas (her number is available at the church office).

Love Meals

When someone in the family has passed away, is in the hospital, going through medical treatments or when a new baby has arrived and fixing a meal is the last thing you want to think about; our Love Meal Ladies are always ready to step in to provide the nourishment to help keep your family going. There are no meetings required to be involved in this ministry. Just let our meal organizers know you would like to help and you’ll get a call the next time a meal is needed. For more information, call the church office.
